Being Cautious

I'm not really much for jumping in feet first, preferring the cautious approach. Not to mention the fact that I have very little money to invest right now.

So, what to do first?

Well, signing up was a "no-brainer" since it was barely going to cost me anything, but I had to do something more that that!!

I decided to invest in some tools...or "a" tool to be precise: the Catalogue. Deciding to make a very minimal investment of about $25 I bought 40 copies to share with folks I know...after all everyone likes catalogues eh? Well us girls certainly do :-)

I was so excited for them to arrive and wasn't disappointed. The catalogue has great pictures and clear summaries of information. Everyone that has received one so far oooohs and ahhhhs over it. Awesome healthy and environmentally friendly products in classically styled packaging (with no BPA plastics).

The delivery box itself was also interesting because I found out the packing chips were actually made of corn starch and are completely biodegradable, cool!

It was only a couple of days before I had 3 orders from friends ...plus, of course, a list of items that I wanted for myself which I would be receiving for 25% discount...awesome!!

Why I chose to try MLM again.....

Over the years I've tried one or MLMs with very little success to be honest, but this is largely because I didn't really know what I was doing or try very hard.

(I won't mention those previous companies here because I wouldn't want to reflect badly on them considering that my efforts were pretty feeble!!)

A couple of weeks or so ago I came across JR Watkins. Watkins has been a pioneer in natural products since 1868 and continues bring out new products and refine its processes.

The company attracted me for several reasons:

  1. products made without chemicals that are hazardous to personal health
  2. environmentally safe products
  3. corporate commitment to a low carbon footprint
  4. a very flexible format which is very low pressure but provides lots of information
  5. a $39.95 fee to set up and save 25% on any orders I place for myself
As an added advantage the team that I was considering joining were offering a $20 gift certificate to sign up and my direct sponsor was also offering a gift certificate as well! This made the sign-up fee almost free!!

I really wanted something that I could earn extra money from at home and also involve products I believe in..awesome!!

So..I'm writing this blog to let you you how the journey goes and if I can really make a go of it for my family this time.

If you have had any experience with Watkins, currently or in the past, feel free to comment and share what you know :-)

I'm so excited to be getting started!!
